I've had a

busy couple of days recently, accounting for my sparse blog input here at Blogger. I'm more active at my website then here but I'm going to strive to blog here at least 3 times/week.

The book cover images wont work with Blogger for some reason, so I'm going to have to remove the currently reading and reading next.

The job has been real hairy lately. Monday we find the boss has changed the CC qualification/bonus (again) Now its 1 CC/hour in a week work, so say you put in 40 hours/week you need 40 CC sales to get the bonuses. The more hours the fewer CC's. Then the other day we got us an evaluation sheet. Super was basically addressing the back 20. So stupid. This was Calgary's (HO) idea. Yeesh.

Also on Monday we got our Xbox 360 set up at last. We were playing "Indiana Jones Leggo." Its kind of hard on the eyes.

I finished reading "Helix." You can read a "review" (of sorts) here.

1more sleep for '08

I went into work feeling alright reading Helix on the train. Weather wise it wasn’t bad. I bought my January bus pass at the “Readimart” before going up the escalator for my train. Coming through the doors of the office building where I work I met up with JT and he said how last night he wan the NFL playoff pool, so I owe him $20. This kind of through me for a loop but he said if I want I can pay him Friday. Yeesh all this money going out very little coming in.

I had a slow night in the beginning but it picked up. I ended up with $335 the first half and 2 CC’s. I called Anne at break and had a chat. TD bank had called her as she was out and I left her a hand written note. I ended up doing $735 and a CC sale the 2nd half and no “good job” for top total or anything like that. I walked out of there not feeling that good about my effort. Plus my teeth were acting up. A burning pain developing on my upper right side. The pain eased off there a bit.

I was glad to get out of the office. I had a brief wait for my train reading Helix on the way home. Two cars but plenty of seating because the University kids were on Christmas break.

I got home to watch. Raw. Good show last night. I‘d give it an 8/10. Anne made me a great cheeseburger and fries. My mouth felt a little better before I tucked into my dinner. I was done by about midnight. We watched a bit of ET and I checked over my finances there a bit and I can pay JT off what I owe him tomorrow. Anne said she can only cover me for my website or Lodge dues now but I’ll use the funds for my website and cover my Lodge dues in February. Their ok for it.

I’ve got tonight to work with and then I’m off for 2 more days. I’ll get my paycheque Friday. This cheque will have only 12 hours on it but the rent will be covered and I’ve got my January bus pass. Next week I’m putting 32 hours in for my Lodge dues.

Yesterday afternoon

I got onto my bus to Clairview station as Anne was home doing the laundry. It wasn’t bad out there. Very pleasant. No wind. So I found a seat and began to read a couple of pages of Icewind Dale. I read again at my dialer a couple more pages and even as the shift was underway I read in between calls. I must have got 3 days reading done in the first half of the shift. In the 2nd half we had the Indiana at Tennessee football game. It was me vs. JT in the pool since there was no Oiler game on except PPV. When I left the office at 9pm (with 4 CC’s and top total for $765 not quite line hour for the bonus) the game was tied at 14 in the 3rd quarter. I’m really starting to enjoy the NFL. It’s a better product then the CFL. I’ll still watch the Eskimos. We can barely get 35,000 fans at a CFL game here and that’s even in the summer. Moe said I’d be better off watching high school football then the Eskimos. He might be right. The way they’ve been playing this year? Even in US College football they can get 70.000 fans out each game. To be fair this is all proportionate to the density of population. I don’t have a favorite NFL team and the closet one to us here would be Seattle.

Moving along here, I got in about 9:30pm. I had a good night reading my book, getting top total making money for me and the company and watching almost a 3rd of the football game. When I got home I watched Monday night Raw. Good show and Anne made me a nice lunch of enchiladas. Not quite as good as mom used to make them.

After Raw and catching some of the entertainment news I went off to do some research finding out information of a school I attended I think in the early 1960’s: I used Google Earth before and I have a pretty good idea where the school is located: Austin Ave and Schoolhouse road in Coquitlam BC. When I got using Google Earth when it first came out (I guess that’s what most of us did. Look for old schools and our house we used to live in.) Austin Heights school was one of my first Google Earth destinations. I was shocked to learn the school wasn’t there. What happened? For years later I had no idea what happened to the school. Reports from nice people giving me sales on my job that lived in the area hinted it was torn down but that’s about all I got. No details.

Over the years since using Google I tried various search terms but came up empty. I only attended Austin Heights 1 year. In that year (as we lived on Reagan and Hailey) the school was at the end of the 1300 block of Austin Ave. A Google Earth glance of Coquitlam from where I used to live for those 10 years in the 1960’s and where I had to go to school was pretty significant for an 8 year old or so kid. Since we only had one car in the family dad used it to go to work, I had to use my bike to school. We had no bus service in Coquitlam in the 1960’s. I was considered to be a slow learner at the time and placed in what was called Occupational studies. We were low on the food chain as far as kids go in public schools. The other kids in the family went to Porter street in the public school system. Growing up in the 1960’s in Coquitlam I went to 4 Occupational public classes either because those schools closed down the Occupational program due to low enrollment or some other factor I wasn’t aware of.

It wasn’t like I had fond memories of Austin Heights because I’m not even sure what year it was I attended. So today I’m going to use the phones at work to call long distance to the school district office and see if I can get a complete transcript of the schools and grades I completed from when I first went to school I believe was Mountain View 1960. Maybe I can get class photos of each year. If I can actually speak to somebody.

Okay to wrap this long topic up, early this morning I tried a different search term: Austin Heights elementary. Sure enough I was lead to a Facebook page from people that went there. Still no specific details but one commentator said he watched it being torn down and retrieved a couple of bricks from the school as mementos. He said it was torn down in the early 1980’s. That’s a little bit of closure for me.

Most of my childhood growing up in the 1960’s was somewhat murky. I can recall specific events of course but not things that played out season by season. One thing that struck me odd was that where we lived there were no major sidewalks. It’s amazing anyone of us weren’t hit by a car on the way and back from school. The main streets had sidewalks like Blue Mountain and Como lake road. Even today from Google Earth there are no sidewalks on Regan Ave.

On the Facebook page they talked about a little diner that used to be there on the corner of Schoolhouse and Austin Ave. I recall in the early 1970’s Gord, Dave and Bob and I would go there occasionally. I forgot the name but it was called the “Luxury freeze” I think. I recall they had great fries and milk shakes.

I’m onto my first coffee. Anne’s sleeping away. I’m almost in the middle of Icewind Dale. I came across a lot of nice colorful phrasing in the story last night and throughout the book itself. I’m impressed with the writing.
Next Oiler game is Thursday in Nashville as the boys are on a 7 game road trip. Rolly was in goal last night and he has yet to give his team a win in this season.

Hey I just realized I missed Star Wars Clone Wars Sunday night. Damn, what was I thinking?

Ok so for today it’s off to work. Put my 4 hours in. come home and relax out the rest of the evening. Other then that not much going on.

Another big game comes out today “Fallout 3” I’m not really into these kinds of games. They don’t do anything for me. Give me good old D&D any time.

On the cool side

today hitting +10C out there but local weather people are looking for +14C as a high for today. So I’m up working on my first coffee. I was in bed just after 3am and up at 6 to do the cbi thing. I read for a bit and went back to bed, no problem until just after noon to watch the markets. Oil up at $107. Good news.

This evening I get my pay cheque. At least where Anne works they direct bank deposit it right into the employees account. She gets her first pay cheque Friday and that goes towards October‘s rent. After work tonight I get to go to the bank and this time I have the right pin number for Anne’s account. My cheque goes towards the cable bill and I get $20 out of it for a couple of books, while on the order invoice they are still at American pricing.

Last night on the job we were working on “Comedy Fest.” Unlike the majority of the people working the taps on this campaign, I like this campaign. Sure if your sitting at “0” your going to get shuffled to the front 20. Most of the totals were sitting around $300-$400 by break. Me, I’m pulling up the rear but on the other side of my station they have got some big taps to work with. I didn’t get any CC’s but I sold 4 tickets and got $246 to show for it on my recap at the end of my shift. With extra cars on the train I was happy to catch my 9:20pm train to Clairview and read on the way home. Again today, I’m going straight to the end of the line/South Side and take the train back to Corona and wander into the office about 4:50pm. I’m taking my sunglasses with me because while reading on the way across the bridge over the Saskatchewan river, I couldn't open my eyes the Sun was so bight in my face. Arriving as early as I’ve been doing over the years made for a long night for Jimmy.

This “Icewind Dale” book I’m reading is pretty good and I’m enjoying it. I’m about 120 pages into the book I began last Wednesday. A good sign because by now the book would have strained on my nerves if I couldn't get into it and I would have tossed it aside for something else. I was worried about this, especially for a series. So far so good.

Last night on YouTube I came across “Featureman” (one word) doing some basic piano chords. He’s an older guy that obviously knows what he’s talking about but I have a couple of issues with him: Right hand black keys are Sharps not Flats. There are no flats on the treble clef-usually. At least from my understanding of piano theory. The other is his chord fingering. He uses his thumb, pointer finger and pinkie for chords. This is wrong. Your supposed to use your thumb, index finger and pinkie, 1-3-5. But he explained nicely what a diminished chord is and how to play diminished chords in any key. His tutorials are long and generous and he‘s a great singer.

My wife is off work tonight taking it easy. The next Oiler’s are playing tonight against Florida. Two games back to back. At least the city has extra cars on the trains on the way home. The Oiler’s have been playing a game every night since training camp opened.

yesterday was still

warm when I left out of here to go to work but it wasn‘t like +28C or anything. I managed to read a bit of “Judas Unchained” on the train in.
I got a dialer and settled in. We ended up doing CF. I mentioned to one of the staff that we should be doing “Halloween O Ramma” soon but she said we lost that campaign. What a shocker! I rather liked doing HOR. Also Rob gave his kick-off yesterday morning she said and said something like how the whole office will be revamped in October. “Only the best will be working.” Whatever that means. He was lamenting about a 3-10pm shift a few weeks back. Anne’s going to put her name in at Pizza, she’s off this whole week. Right now we’ve just got my income coming in. I’m going to be very surprised if I have a job at Xl to go to by the end of the year. It’s not because of the economy it’s because of the lawsuit last year on our company and the new regulations against telemarketing. I ended up at the break with $78 on CF and Moe sends me over to the other side and I do CBF. I ended up doing $500 in 2 hours and 2 credit cards. I had a better night.

I was glad to get out of the office when 9pm rolled around. It was comfortable weather wise leaving with Tom (One of the recent semi employees that takes the train but goes the other way.) I got a seat on a packed train and read. Lots of people taking in “The Fringe.” “The Big Kahuna.” Sounds like a great name for a Starship doesn’t it? Anyway, the #11 bus was pulling out and waited for passengers at Clairview when I got off the train. For a 9:35pm bus on a weekday night, it was packed. I got home and there was my wife with the Vacuum cleaner on. She went to get her B-Bell cake earlier. She gets about 3 of them/year. One for my Birthday and one for hers and one for Christmas. They cast about $20 each and are really nice, good quality.

I like my evening meal around 11pm while I’m watching the evening news. My dinner consisted of (my favorite) instant mashed potatoes, 2 processed rib-let racks (Nice product from Presidents choice) some pees and even dressing and a big glass of diet Coke. I was set. Then after I finished dinner, Anne brings out a Happy B-day slice of cake for me with lighted candles. It was really nice as we sang “Happy Birthday” for Jimmy! Hehe. Anne got me a Polo t-shirt but it was a bit small on me and a badly needed mouse pad. Yesterday was a pretty good day.

Some National news: It seems there’s rumblings of a fall election. The Tories are slightly ahead in the polls of the Liberals. If the Liberals get in then they’ll introduce a very unpopular National Carbon Tax. An NCT will seriously slow down our economy. The plan is called “The Green shift.” More like “The Green shaft.” Even after the National Energy program (NEP) introduced by Trudeau in the late 1970’s, it took Billions of dollars out of our local economy. The NEP sent thousands of people unemployed and devastated our economy. When PC leader Brian Mulroney was in power in 1989 he abolished the NEP program but it took almost 10 years before Alberta recovered from the NEP economic devastation. Now if the Liberals get elected and Dion introduces his NCT, it will be another version of the NEP which was nothing more then a tax grab anyway. This is essentially the same thing. In July the BC government (Liberal) introduced a Provincial carbon tax. Sure each BC resident got a $100 out of it but the program cost something like $440 million. The tax is very unpopular in BC. And it seems only a few Provinces are exempt (Ontario and Quebec of course.) from the NCT. Dion’s plan calls for $15B in taxes he says are "revenue neutral." Yeah right. All that for a $150/year rebate cheque to fight “global warming?” Thanks Dion but no thanks. Who’s going to be paying for this “Green shift?” Albertan’s. So this is why a NCT plan is a bad idea. So I can only hope that if Harper is going to call an election this fall, he’ll be able to win another minority Government.

I had a couple of hours on the computer before bed after midnight and worked on a test static page to try some basic HTML CSS. In my test page (as I was following along from a YouTube video tutorial) I got lost with positioning a CSS element. It’s an absolute position but the command string was lost and when the new one was added it wiped out the previous command, obviously. I’ll try it again tonight after work.

I also did some piano practice as well before bed. I’m going to have trouble with the C chord on my right hand because of my 4th finger is broken or sprained or something. I can lift it but not that far off a black key. I can do broken chords of course. I’ll get better as I go along but to implement the C-chord with proper right hand positioning is going to be hard. My left hand is fine.

This morning I got up about 5:45am and did the cbi thing and read more from “Judas Unchained.” The author makes some obvious cliché’s but this is understandable as these are part of the characters thought processes. We all use cliché’s to some degree in everyday language. Are these cliché’s or just worn out phrases?

I haven’t been doing much fiction writing of my own this summer as I had hoped to do. Mostly it’s been Blog writing. I’ve been doing piano work, reading and website stuff. That sort of thing. I’ve been working a bit on a short story but nothing on that over the last few weeks. I still want to get out a hard copy this fall. I need to really work on the language and turn that up a notch. I’ve got a couple of ideas for longer pieces of writing and I’ve been hashing at them as well.

Anne came out with me

to my bus stop waiting for the bus Wednesday afternoon, She went across the street to go feed the birds. Then she came back and kissed her husband off to work. I had a nice trip going in. We did Comedy Fest and I had a slow start. Mostly doing semis. I was surprised I ended up with $140 by break. Anne’s phone rang and she tried to call me earlier then usual. I guess cell phones are ok. Again they gave me the cold shoulder, JT and Gary. They are still pouting over me turning JT in for the paper balls Saturday. I was glad when they left at 7. I had 2 CC’s as well and I put them on the board and JT dropped a note on my keyboard “big rat” or something like that. At least I think it was him.

It seems that my Amway connection wasn’t going to the meeting after all. It would have been nice to find out if Ellen and Helga still show up. I’d like to hide behind a plant or something there one night just to see of they do show up. At least I know where they have their weekly meetings. If she’s still in the business at all.

The 2nd half was really slow but I ended up with 3 CC’s. I got $9 in bonuses out of the night. At break some of us asked why is it the evening shift the only ones that always have to move when the afternoon shift leave half way from the shift. If that’s the case, then why can’t I come in at 3pm and leave at 7pm? That’s 4 hours right? Then Moe snaps and says, “You’ll sit where I tell you to or there’s the elevator door out and don’t come back.” Lately he’s been a real Hitler. I’m very close to calling Pizza and put my name in. I’d work from 9:30pm-closing 3 days a week for now and if I like the job and it’s easy enough then next time Moe comes out with a comment like that or something similar “,and don’t come back.” I’ll pack my things and say something like “I’ll come back and pick my last cheque up on Friday.”

Anyway, I had a 20 minute wait for the train. Extra cars on. It seems Tom Petty was at Rexall last night and “Motley Crue” was in the night before. The Rexall parking lot was full on the way home. We’ve got some great acts coming to Edmonton this year such as Elton John, Celine Dion, Neil Diamond and Metalica. I think they were here a few times before.

I got to the bus at Clairview and called Anne and read more Judas Unchained. From the time I leave the office at 9pm it takes me an hour to get home. I wait a good 20 minutes for the train. The trip home is 20 minutes. There’s a 10 minute wait on the bus. The good news is I get an hour to read. if I’m lucky and I don’t get any distractions. Strange how it can take me half an hour to get to work though but an hour to get home.

Anne ordered “Summerslam” for me for this Sunday. It’s my birthday present. I get 2 WWE pay per views/year. Either Summerslam or Survivor series or Wrestlemania. I hope I can keep it if we don’t end up getting into a fight or something like that. The plan is she gets up at 2-3pm on that Sunday and then around 4 goes to Rose bowl to get our Pizza. This way I have it there at about 6pm.

Despite the bs from earlier on the job with Moe, I had a pretty good night. I’m about to have a cup of hot milk and head for bed. Ufologists Stanton Friedman and Frank Feschino will discuss a terrifying UFO encounter in 1952, when a damaged UFO crash-landed on a farm in the small town of Flatwoods, WV. Sounds like a good show.

Friday I’ve got a couple books to pick up at Audrey’s. “Mission Earth 1” and I think one of the “New Jedi order.” Unless some of the other books I’ve ordered comes in those will be my 2 titles for this week.

I tried using Google’s Gadgets thing for my blog but I don’t like them. I prefer just a simple button but instead the gadgets are scroll levers on the side and bottom making them look ugly. Not only that but most of the gadgets are broken anyway. I’m not very impressed.

Yesterday

I left out of here shutting the place down at 4:05pm but the buses seem to be arriving latter and latter. Now it’s about 4:15pm when they get to my bus stop for the Clairview train. I got into work on time but had a rough start to the shift what with no headset. Well the metal head band was missing. I was rather pissed off with this because I have to hold the headset up to my ear and that’s hard on my arm. I wasn’t very happy.

It showed in the 2nd half and I barely got over $300. It was slow for most people. Anne called at the break. I had a better 2nd half but Moe wanted me to move over. We were doing a bit of everything tonight. On Bob, I managed to sell baseball tickets a pack for $40 and I got it on a CC’s as well. My only CC sale. I’m at 17 for the week. If I have a bad CC’s day the next day is usually better. Fridays are usually good for CC’s and I have all of Saturday’s as well.

Then about 8pm the cheques were brought around and yes there was my vp. I was taxed $155. I’ll get most of it back in April. After work I walked up to the bank and did my banking. I took out the $360 and left the rest in there for my wife. We have over half of our rent here and Anne gets her cheque for the rest tomorrow. Also, I have enough to get a bus pass for August and I’ll be doing that today.

Over the past couple of months I’ve been looking at external hard drives at Future shop. One I’ve been checking on, a 500Gb hard drive was $145. Then it went down to $125. This weekend it’s $99, so after a few hours of sleep, it’s going to be time to go to Fs and get the hard drive and the credit card to order WS. I’ve never ordered anything online before so this is going to be a first for me. I’m a bit nervous. But at Fs they also have the Xbox 360 Arcade for $276. I’m very tempted to get that and Oblivion.

I was looking on Ebay Canada at some nice Clifford D. Simak books. I’m surprised they are still available but there are some 6 items, I’d love to buy.

Well we’re 6 days 21 hours away from LHC activation. I’m kind of excited about it. Will they find the Hogs particle? Will they find exotic particles never seen before? Maybe even wormholes. Now that would be awesome. The idea behind the LHC is to set the conditions before the big bang. At 600 million collisions/second, somethings got to give.

Yesterday I began

looking around for MP3 video players. I like the Itouch because of all the features but I don’t like the price. I read lots of reviews even though I don’t like Real audio that much, I think the best MP3 video player out there for my money is Creative Labs Zen. The Itouch 16Gb version is $360. I can afford it with my vacation pay but some people tell me at work is to wait a year and Apple will come out with a 64Gb/128Gb Version. An 8Gb Itouch will cost me $285. The Hard drive will cost me $90.WS will cost me at least $120. I want a MP3 video player and I also want $20-30 for myself. I might go with out the video player and focus on the hard drive and WS. Obtaining WS is going to be a bit more difficult because I need to go get a Money Mart prepaid CC. But WS is an online application. It’s not a physical product but that’s ok. I can be up and running that in minutes. The Hard drive and WS are more useful tools then a video MP3 player. I can always get one next year.

This weekend is the Edmonton Indy race. I’m not a fan of racing because of the noise of the engines and all. Though I am sympathetic towards it. The event is good for the City. Somewhere between the end of K-Day’s and the August 1st long weekend is Heritage days. Actually Heritage days is August 2nd-4th. When I first came to Edmonton 30 years ago it was right after Heritage days. We Didn’t have the Fringe back then. The first Fringe was 1982. I first came to Edmonton Wednesday August 17th 1978.

I’d have loved it if Jeff could have taken a picture of me getting off the Via rail train on that humid sunny Thursday afternoon. I didn’t bring any luggage because I didn’t think I’d be staying. I had a new color TV I had just bought and a new stereo, my UIC had just come in and I had rented a new apartment as well. The only thing 30 years ago at this time, I had no prospects for a job and I had no applications in and there was no way anyone could contact me for a job anyway. It wasn’t like we had cell phones back then.

Anne wants me to stay home tonight because she has the day off. I want to put a full week in because I want to get as much as possible for my vacation pay. I want to get the form from Rob and take my vacation pay out next week. Last night I got 5 CC’s for 7 so far on the week. I’d like to get 5 more CC’s for tonight and hopefully 20 for this week. I’m going in early tomorrow afternoon and Friday. At least I’ll have 29 hours in

My wife gave me $20 from the bottle run from yesterday and I should have another $25 coming in this week where I can pick up the last of those Science Fiction books at Audrey’s. I have 3 more of the Stardoc series. That’s 6/8. Then there’s the Mission Earth book. I have another 8 more to go on that. There are another 2 Karen Traviss books in her Wess'Har series that I need to get as well.

As for tonight it’s in for 4 hours. At least the paper balls have stopped flying, so that’s good news. Lately at the break I move over to bud’s dialer and work there for the remaining 2 hours. Other then that it’s the Dog day’s of summer.

Last night coming home about 9:30pm waiting on the bus at Clairview the Sunset was so beautiful spreading the whole Western sky in a glow of read pink through the clouds. I’ve never seen anything like it. This is why I need my camera charged up but the hours of daylight are dropping dusk at 9:45pm.

not that I've

been terribly busy or anything lately other then going to work. Couldn’t find anything to say, which is unusual for me. I’ve been working on a special project and you can see the results of this under the title of my Blogger blog. See link in the Photo block top left column then go to my Blogger page and see the ad. I mean if you want to find out what I’ve been up to the last couple of days.

Yesterday I left out of here at 4pm. It was a beautiful sunny day. Apparently we had a bit of a storm that blew by here late yesterday afternoon. It began to rain as I crossed the parking lot. By about 6pm according to the smokers returning from their smoke breaks it was really pouring rain out there. When I left it was all but over.

Today however, I left under mostly cloudy skies. I read from “Pandora’s Star.” This has got to be the largest Science Fiction book I think since “Battlefield earth.” I’m about 65% of the way through Ps and I started it April 6th! 626/988. Uggh. And I want to continue to read the sequel “Judas Unchained next?” I must be a glutton for punishment.

I got into the office and found my dialer. I had a slow start because most of the CPA source is drying up. I got s shit load of bottles and cans. Anne called but about 8:30pm, rather on the late side. I ended up with $895 and 3 credit card sales. (Or CCS’s) I have my 12 CCS’s for the week and it’s only Thursday.

Currently on “Space“, they’ve got “Star Trek the next generation. Following that is “Alias.” Space has a nifty half hour magazine show I try to catch called “Hyperspace.” It’s all things SFF wise. I like Space. Space is the Canadian version of the Sci-fi channel. Or Sci-Fi except ECW is on our local Global channel 8. Alias looks good and one of these days I might check it out.

Well, that’s enough from me for today gang. It’s back to my special project.

Anyway Bloggers, that’s all for now.

I locked

everything down here yesterday afternoon as I headed out the door. At the Redimart I ended up cashing in my ticket and yes, I got the $10. Wuu Whoo!!! The next draw Wednesday is for $5 Million so I used $5 and I got another quick pick and a diet Coke. I brought my book with me but wasn’t in the mood to read it.

I got into the office and Rob was saying how he’s quite pleased with me getting 30 credit cards so I’ll get that bonus up next week for $60. That and my COH I’ll have enough to get the external back up hard drive. I had a pretty good start to the night and I had about $500 by break and 2 credit card sales including a $100 cc and a $50 cc. Good stuff. I collected a lot of cans and bottles and apparently Anne had called at the break but I missed her call and called her right back. I had a decent 2nd half and ended up with $1,010 on the night. Not bad.

I had a few words with Moe in the office and caught my Clairview train home Very nice evening out there. Especially the clouds all golden-red, grey-blue. Very nice. I tried calling Charles but there were too many people on the train. I had a brief wait for my #183 bus and then home. I called him just before Raw. He was in Calgary visiting his Son.

I enjoyed Raw. Good show. On a scale from 1-10, I’d rate it another 8.5. Next week is the big draft 3 hour show and Vince is giving away more money.
Anne received a letter in the mail about her Mammogram and the letter said it came back normal. It said that she should check again in another 2 years so that’s good news for us.

The big news out of the Sci-fie Universe is the upcoming season finally of Battle star Galactica। “Razor.” I never could get into this show for several reasons. It was to hard on the eyes what with the camera angle floating about all the time. The other thing that ruined BSG for me was the casting. At the risk of sounding sexist here (which I’m not just ask my wife.) I can not identify the “Starbuck” character as a woman. The very name “Starbuck” sounds masculine to me and it doesn’t work. If the show gets canceled there won’t be any shed tears from this direction.

Now “Stargate” is my type of show। I liked both SG-1 and Atlantis from what episodes I did manage to see. Same with Stargate “Atlantis.” I think there is an SG-1 anthology available with all 11 seasons but this costs something like $300 after shipping. Worth getting.

I shut it down early

early so I could avoid the rain we were receiving out there about 3:40pm, it was coming down hard and heavy. I shut everything down and at the last minute remembered to turn off the TV. My bus came by right away and had stopped raining before I even got out the apartment doors. I got a bottle of Diet Coke and boarded the train on the first car. I wanted to go down and get my Jack Vance book, at least Vol. 1 of the “Demon Princes.” I had a seat to myself and got downtown in 10 minutes. I even got to read a bit out of Ps. I got my book and headed into work,

When I came in off the elevator Kingsley had his jacket right over my chair just like I thought he would but he didn’t make a big deal about vacating. I had a bang up night getting a $150 sale and $75 and a couple of credit card sales. I had $705 at break. I ended up with 3 more credit card sales for 6 credit card sales on the night for a total of $1,385. My highest total this year and no bonus. This week I get $78 in bonuses. I should have $32 + $15 + $44. I should have $91 worth in bonuses. Unless some of them kicked out but it only shows $78 bucks. I doubt 6 credit card sales opt out. I could see 2 or 3 of them but not 6. The sheet was posted Monday. I should check just to make sure.

Anyway, I got my book, the weather was kind of fun with rain and Sunny breaks. I love June. July is usually hot and warm uggh.

So far I’m on for 9 credit card sales for the week and it’s only Tuesday. I’m doing well on CPA it’s a good campaign. Tonight’s movie was “Frankenstein.” 1994. A bit too graphic for my tastes. I prefer the original 1931 and the classic horror.

Anne made me a nice light supper, meat balls in mushroom sauce with my favorite instant mash potato. I’m going to blog this on my website and my Blogger page and work on that for a bit. I’m still working on what I need for a computer upgrade.

Paladin is on Old Time Radio right now. If your reading this before the half hour you can catch the end on 630 Ched. I need a link to that site as well.

I discoverd Geoglobe by accident so I included a few widgets. Cute.
